Do you believe in magic?
While writing the next part of STTOT I thought about how the vampires view magic.
The Master was all about rituals, which Darla was a part of. Worfram and Hart brought her back with it, she found out about Connor with it, the PTB made Connor possible and protected him. Angelus used it in Becoming, to find Cordy, and to open a portal to get back Connor. Spike used it to save Dru yet made it clear to Xander that it always has a price. Spike doesn't seem to like it at all. Of course it burns him up later, makes him a ghost stuck to Worfram and Hart, and brings him back to flesh and blood. In ATF when Spider mentions Angel reeking of magic Spike asks if he doesn't, perhaps realizing that magic plays a part with the demon existing within the dead?
I've heard some say that it was stupid for Connor to hate magic in season 4. My question is why? He was raised by super religious Holtz who most likely blamed it for them being trapped. Is magic mixy with demons/vampires? How much do they use it? How much of them is magic?
