Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Yesterday, interTalk held their first Easter Party for the younger students and it was a wonderful time. We dyed Easter eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, played bingo, and had the older students do a word find. It looked like all of the kids had a wonderful time.
Jana, Katie, and I decided to head to El Torritos after the Easter Party for some Mexican food. While we were there Jana and I had two margaritas. One strawberry grande margarita that was so strong we ended up coughing every time we took a sip and then a regular size strawberry margarita. We spent a couple of hours laughing and talking as we ate our really good food.
While we were at the restaurant my brain finally kicked in and I realized that I had left my car parked outside of Jana’s (that is fine for a couple of hours but not over night). We had to have drive to Jana’s, park Katie’s car, drive my car to the interTalk parking lot, and then walk back to Jana’s/Katie’s car. This is where the funny event happened.
Jana was cold so she started jogging to warm up, I told her that this was not a smart idea because she was pretty tipsy (I was too) and that she might crash into a pole. Jana said that she was fine and that she would not crash into a pole. She was right, instead of crashing into a pole; Jana managed to trip over the curb, go flying through the air, and landing right on her knee.
I burst out laughing after we figure out she was ok. We got her back to her apartment to discover that her knee was bleeding, her glove had a hole in it, and the dyed Easter Egg that she had in her pocket was smashed. The best part was Jana had no memory of me handing her the egg and she couldn’t figure out how it got in her pocket.
