Move...

I was driving home after a final on Friday and I was stopped at a traffic light... I looked up, at the clouds, and they were moving across the sky SO rapidly... and as they flew by the song "Dare You To Move" by Switchfoot came on the radio. I sat there, and watched as the big white fluffballs raced across the sky, and saw whole sections of blew between them.  Every now and again, smaller, darker, gray clouds passed over the white ones... but they were gone before I knew it.

The whole time I was watching these clouds, and listening to this song, all I could think was, "Lord, if I didn't feel you in this moment I would have to be deaf, dumb, and blind." It might seem like a reach to some people... but if you think about it, God is in EVERYthing. We just have to realize that what we're looking at it is another piece of His artwork. He speaks to us in His creation, and in the way He moves around us... and the way He moves IN us... It's all about moving.

God dares us to move... We are called to be hot or cold, never lukewarm. He does not want us to stagnate. Even if the movement we are called to do is hard, or scary... we have to move. A friend of mine, a very wise woman, told me this... "It's easier for God to turn the wheels of a moving car than one that is sitting still"... and "God is like a GPS. If you miss that right turn [or move in the wrong direction] then He will put you on another path to get you to your destination." It can be scary when you're worried about moving the wrong way... but He wants us to move, so that He can guide us, and send us in the right direction.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

God has a plan for EACH of us... and that plan involves movement... we have to move. We need to pray that God guides that movement, and have faith that He will never ever lead us astray.
