Arrested Development is dead. Long live Arrested Development!

Tonight is the "season finale" of Arrested Development on Fox, though it's probably been cancelled. Fox is being kind of coy about it for reasons I cannot fathom, but they cut back most of the episodes this season and are showing these last four opposite the Winter Olympics, so it's not like they're trying to get a lot of viewers. Showtime is perhaps interested in picking it up after they finally let go of it, but no one knows how long that will be. The writers and producers (including uncredited narrator and executive producer Ron Howard) are likely to bite the paw that feeds them a few times during the two-hour block of comedy, because it's just that kind of show. If you enjoy seeing Fox getting made fun of, you might enjoy it even if you don't recognize the characters.
