Hey Toronto people! Would anyone be interested in a coming to a free animation show in Toronto, possibly in the evening of Wednesday July 8/09?
An Seattle-based animator friend of mine (and crochet hat client), Stefan Gruber, is taking his animation show on tour across the continent this summer. Stefan is a really terrific person and I really admire his work. He will be stopping by Toronto the week after next, on July 8, and is looking to set up an outdoor showing of his work. I'm told the show is about an hour long, and any donations to offset his travel costs will be welcome (but in no way mandatory).
Location would be downtown somewhere, and easily accessible by TTC. If you have a backyard you would like to volunteer, please let me know! I will also be inquiring this evening about hosting it at UofT (Hart House), but I'm not sure how that will go.
Also, it could also be a dessert/snacky potluck event. Would people be into that or would it be better to just have the show and go out for drinks later?

Please say if you or anyone you know would be interested in coming (I'm trying to figure out numbers here), and if you would be willing to bring some snacks or if you'd rather go for post-show food/drinks instead (suggestions close to UofT are welcome).
