Yeah, so the other day someone bled on me and the Guest Service counter and floor. Even better, she had no idea. I put in my notice the other day as well. Oddly enough, on the day I was supposed to be off. Target just hasn't been that much fun lately. My second day, I had to do carts at 11pm...without a cart machine. That's pretty bad, but I managed to get a free DVD out of it; Little Miss Sunshine is a pretty good movie, I hadn't seen it before. Last night, I had to do the same, but no DVD and the cart machine seemed to work, until it got all the way to the other side of the parking lot near the Garden Center and died. Myself and one of the other guys had to drag the fucker back inside the store (when its not on it has some fucking stubborn brakes, it was a goddamned workout).
Overall I've realized that I have outgrown things. I am 23 years old and I'm too old for retail; I'm too old for dormatories; and I am too old to be dealing with people that aren't my own age. I'm ready to be a grown up and take on all the responsibilities that grown-up-ness entails. I've been a child for too long. Car payments, auto insurance, health insurance, rent, utilities, food, etc. I'm ready for it all; 9-5 desk job, bring it on. I want to soak up adulthood and this last semester isn't a last hurrah for college life, it't a race towards independence and responsibility.
Merry Christmas to everybody.
Peace and good will...I'm out.
