I will probably never get married. I am dating a complete loser in that regard. I have known this from the beginning, but there was always some hope, some little dream, of marriage there. I must face the reality that I will not get that from him. And really, in the end, it shouldn't matter. We love each other, we live together, and we are together

Does he know how you feel? If not, you may wish to bring it up. At least that way, neither of you will be sitting around thinking the other doesn't want to get married at all, when the opposite may be true.

It boils down to a question not of wanting it, but rather of actually being able to do at all. He's aware of my feelings; there isn't anything we can do about it right now, or probably ever.
