After a year of talking about going hiking together, Darren (
norcalpaco) and I finally got our schedules to match up. He lives in San Jose and I live in Sacramento, so we decided to hike the Donner Creek Trail in the Mt. Diablo State Park because it's pretty much in the middle for both of us. It took me an hour and a half to driver there, while it took Darren an hour and 20 minutes.
We leisurely completed the 6.5 mile trail in 4 hours, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery and chat it up. This was our first time meeting in person and it was great to learn that we share many interests. Darren is good people. Looking forward to hiking with him again. You can read more about the hike in his
journal.

Oh yeah, I also wanted to add... The next day,
kenlin came up to Sacramento for a work related convention. I picked him up from his hotel and we went out for a couple drinks. It was cool talking about geeky stuff, music and boys.
