ShyLynn Ranch is a dream come true for photographers, especially this one. There’s tall grassy fields, cabins so the families can spend overnight, and fairy lights everywhere. So it should come as no surprise we had a few photos to choose from for a header image.

There was a time, a little earlier in the year that I blogged every family photo session. Eventually, there got to be too many and I had to turn my attention to weddings. The Engagement Photos at Sparkling Hill

I’ve shot a wedding or two at Sparkling Hill, and it remains one of my favourite places to shoot. Just outside is the gorgeous Predator Ridge, full of long grass and golf games.  It’s a beautiful area full of comfy little spots to take photographs.

So first off, the website redesign. Oh man. Was that ever tough! Things still aren’t quite where I’d like them, but there’s a lot of improvements.

I enjoy being a destination photographer. I get to go to amazing places like Hawaii, Mexico, Jamaica, during the coldest months of the year. That’s part of the reason my higher end packages include travel - I’d like to travel, and photograph a wedding while I do it!

I don’t think it’s any secret how much I enjoy smoke bombs. You’d think that the photo above was caused by an illegal fire in a public park, but no. Orange smoke bomb! If anyone’s wondering where I get them, I put in orders over $250 at Rocket Fireworks. The good ones come to about $20 each, but they sure are worth it.
