Yup... I'm at my favorite place again... The office. I guess i'll get right to it... I'm gonna continue from where I left off...
...New fuckin' York.
Let me start by giving Matt a hand for his wonderful planning job... When we got our tickets, I realized that Matt didn't even get us seats next to each other... even though he thought he had.... Something like 18A and 19C... I fixed that problem by getting our seats changed to an exit row... Anyways, the flight went pretty smoothly and I must say that Song airlines is fuckin wierd. When we landed at LaGuardia, I immediately called Paige, who was supposed to meet us at the airport... She told me that she was at the airport and would be waiting for us at our gate (which she could do because she used her flight attendant pass to get past security).
So eventually we get off the plane... Look around... and... No sign of Paige... So we use the restroom... come out... look around again... and still no sign of Paige. So we call her and find out that she is waiting outside the wrong gate number.... She tells us to stay put and that she will meet us shortly....
Some more time passes and she never arrives at our gate... So Matt called her again... I jokingly said, "Make sure she's at the right airport"... But there was no joke about it. Matt failed to mention that we would be arriving at LaGuardia and not JFK (shit, I might even have this backwards, but you get the point). As if that wasn't bad enough, Paige's cell phone dies in the middle of the discussion about where/when she'll meet us... Minutes later she calls us back from a payphone... But, for some reason, we couldn't really hear her so well... And eventually the call got disconnected... I think this might have happened another time too... Somehow, we successfully worked out a meeting place: Paige's apartment, in Queens. So Matt and I get into a cab, with a small piece of paper that had the address scribbled on it... I handed it to the driver and asked if he could get us there... and that became the next problem... The driver had no clue as to where we needed to go... He got out of the cab and asked a few others, but it seemed that no one had ever heard of the street we needed to get to in Kew Gardens, Queens... So he drove towards Kew Gardens, talking on the cell phone the entire way... Although he was speakin in a foreign language, I could tell that he was making calls asking people if they knew where this street was... and I could tell that his life-lines weren't of much help.
Damn, I got distracted for a couple minutes and now it's time for my daily lunch break... So once again, i'm gonna have save this for another update... and I swear, the picture update that you all love so much is coming soon. Ok, off to lunch I go... fuck.
