concert time again...and i'm feeling spunky
i would have to say i have had a fantastic start to my summer concert season. i started off with a free Particle show, then i had Galactic and then the next night Fishbone. am i tired? not in the slightest. as a matter of fact, i'm just getting started. here is just a sample of shows i am planning on seeing this summmer...
June 18th -- Col. Bruce Hampton and the Codetalkers (Asheville)
June 20th -- Chris Robinson and New Earth Mud (Orange Peel)
July 10th -- Ozric Tentacles (Orange Peel)
July 23rd -- Los Lobos (Orange Peel)
July 28th -- Drive-By Truckers (Charlotte)
Aug. 18th -- The Dead (Charlotte) woo hoo!
Aug. 21/22 - Lollapalooza 2004 (Atlanta)
Sept. 17th - Barefoot Manner (Asheville)
Oct. 2 ----- Allman Brothers Band (Charlotte)
I am sure there will be some more various shows thrown in there. the best of all, the bruce hampton and barefoot manner shows are free at downtown after five. and i am more than likely getting tickets to los lobos for free because a co-worker of mine's brother-in-law owns the Peel. august 18-22 will be busy but i am definately not missing the dead (anybody who knows me well enough knows me better than that) and i'm not missing lollapalooza this year considering the lineup (string cheese incident, sound tribe sector 9, flaming lips, and lots of other great bands).
well, now i am off to watch charlie rose tonight because trey will be on. i can't wait to hear how he explains the end of phish.
