small breakthrough

I am finally learning some decent methods for recording an acoustic guitar sound with the system I'm currently using. Unfortunately, for now I am limited to going direct into the mixer from a soundhole pickup, so it's not as nice as if I had a soundproof room and a good microphone. Even so, a little tweaking seems to put me into the right ballpark, although I'm still not getting volume levels quite as high as I'd like.

The end result is pretty good though, and for pretty much the first time this millenium I'm actually reasonably happy with something I've recorded. The progress has been slow, but I do seem to be getting somewhere.

EDIT: I should probably tell you where to find the new track. Duh...
