Selena Gomez/ Kristen Stewart
I own none of it and under no circumstances is any of this real. Honestly it's not even likely the two would ever talk for more than a few minutes.
A fight breaks out between Demi and Selena in a bathroom at some Hollywood party. Kristen Stewart just needs to use the restroom, not listen in on teenage lesbian drama.
AN: just a short little chapter cause I've got a head cold and I had time to write. Thank you again to everyone who has commented. I really do appreciate them.
Kristen placed the remainder of her shark into her mouth as she pushed open the door, holding it ajar as Selena walked through, “Did you text your mom?”
Selena smiled at Kristen and began to rummage through her large purse for her phone, “Oh yea thanks. Doing it now.”
Pulling her sunglasses from the slightly ripped collar of her hoodie and placing them over her eyes in a hopefully smooth manner, Kristen began to walk toward the car. Selena sent a quick message while walking beside her happily chattering about the cute little fish that she liked in the one exhibit. If it wasn’t endangered or something and she was able to buy it, Kristen was so getting her that fish for Valentines Day if they were still talking in a few weeks.
As they neared the car the older girl realized she had no idea where she was to drive them. That was probably important information.
“So are you going to tell me where we are going yet?”
“Nope”
Kristen balked a little at Selena’s short response, “You know since you are the one who knows where we are going I feel like maybe you should be the one driving.”
“I don’t have my license.”
It was a touchy subject, Selena’s lack of a driver’s license. Kristen however was not quite aware of this particular matter.
“Aren’t you seventeen?”
“Yes,” Selena grumbled. “There are seventeen year olds who don't want their license.”
“Not normal ones.”
“I don’t need a drivers license,” Selena responded with her stock answer.
It was true. She didn’t need a license. She wasn’t exactly strapped for cash and there were millions of hirable drivers out there. She didn’t need one.
Sensing a certain amount of hostility in the younger girl’s voice, Kristen’s curiosity grew, “I’m not saying you need one, just that a normal teen would want one.”
“I want one,” Selena admitted hesitantly.
“Then why don’t you get one?”
Selena shot a small glare at the other girl spinning her keys around her finger. As if it were so simple.
“I’ve tried.”
Leaning over a little Kristen bit the popsicle stick to keep from laughing, “What was that?”
“I said I’ve tried,” Selena huffed loudly after taking a vicious chomp out of her half eaten yellow fish.
“Failed?”
“Whatever.”
Now worried she had crossed the bounds of acceptable teasing, Kristen bumped the ornery teen with her shoulder, “I’m sorry you failed.”
Selena crossed her arms and snarled in annoyance at Los Angeles and their obnoxious drivers tests, “It’s a stupid ridiculously hard test.”
“Okay,” despite her concern of upsetting the other girl Kristen couldn’t help but smile at the adorable grumpy girl.
Selena rolled her eyes, “Shut up”
“Sorry, I’ll stop.”
Selena returned the previous bumping of shoulders with her own, “Good.”
Car now before them, Kristen pressed the button on her keys causing its headlights to flash. Selena didn’t really seem annoyed at her so that was good, but she didn’t want to pester her further about her inability to pass a test. Kristen opened her mouth to apologize before a sudden glare from about a hundred feet away caught her eye.
“Shit”
“What?”
“Over there,” Kristen sighed as she gestured to the man holding up a rather large camera.
Selena’s face tensed at the unexpected intruder, “Oh.”
Slightly surprised the other girl was not moving away from their close stance or at least trying to hide her face, Kristen turned away from the man, “You aren’t worried?”
“What? That he is taking pictures of us? I don’t think there is much we can do about it at this point.”
Selena hated the paparazzi, almost everyone famous did, but they were as unavoidable as traffic. You could scream and yell and try and hide or you could just go with it and hope they got bored. Selena tended to choose the less confrontational one.
Kristen nodded apprehensively as the spinning of her keys got a little faster, “I guess.”
“I’m not worried about being seen out with you.”
“People might think things…”
“So far most of them seem to think I am hanging out with you to get with Taylor Lautner,” Selena shrugged unconcerned about whatever rumors people felt like running with.
“The real reason finally comes out,” Kristen smiles happy to momentarily forget about the man lurking in the distance.
“Oh yea sorry,” the younger girl laughed. “I’ve been using you.”
“Ouch. Well at least you're honest.”
They both grinned as they stood outside the car trying not to look over at the man with the camera. It was aggravating, being unable to do something as simple as going to the aquarium in private. Kristen gritted her teeth as the man got a little braver and walked closer. She was grateful for her dark sunglasses, hiding the glare she was shooting at him from Selena and the camera.
“Do you care? Being seen out with me?” Selena asked softly, aware that the girl was not looking at her and instead at the man.
Shocked, Kristen looked back at Selena and shook her head, “No. It can’t really hurt my image, but yours…”
She wasn’t worried at all about her reputation. Everyone already thought she was a bitch or a pothead or whatever. Hanging out with a girl from Disney was by no means another slight to her image. In fact it might even help it, make her seem more friendly or something. Selena though, she didn’t really have much to gain unless she was hoping to lose the squeaky clean persona, which so far didn’t seem like her goal.
Selena did the thing where she reached out and brushed Kristen’s hand, by far one of Kristen’s favorite things the other girl did outside of randomly kissing her in aquariums, “People can think what they want, okay?”
“Okay.”
Like she usually did, Selena pulled her hand back. Kristen wished they were in private because she would probably have reached out and held it a bit longer. The man was still taking photos though and they had reservations apparently. Eventually they were going to need to get in the car. In the car the man wouldn’t be able to snap a photo of her intertwining her fingers with Selena’s, which she really wanted to do. Yep, they definitely needed to get into the car.
“Alright, lets go.”
