WASHINGTON, DC -- The Libertarian presidential candidate who will be nominated in Atlanta on Sunday may have a bigger impact on the race than Ralph Nader and "could cost Mr. Bush his job in 2004," according to an analysis by David Paul Kuhn, chief political writer for CBSNews.com.

Makes sense. But it's not the libertarians who will be costing Bush the election, it will be his own damn stupid decisions. Sure, his out-of-control spending will discourage libertarians from voting for him, but that's his fault, not the libertarians' fault. If Bush wanted to win the libertarian vote, he should have acted more libertarian and less idiotic.

I'm taking the whole thing a step further. Instead of simply voting for a libertarian third-party candidate in favor of Bush in the upcoming election, I'll just go right ahead and vote for Kerry.
