Am I the only one who thinks this looks...um, terrible? I'll see it, I guess, if only because parts were shot in Erie, but it seems to take the worst parts of the book -- the cowboy gender tropes, absurd pessimism, and total absence of social imagination -- and marry them to the kind of dumbass action beats that this adaptation might, at least, ( Read more... )
