Disclaimer: Nothing belongs to me blah blah blah....just the storyline!!!!!
It was a long time ago I updated this story, and have a very very bad conscience. Because this story means something to me.
I'm very busy because of my training to be a massage therapist, and my wonderfull fiancèe :o)
It was dark in the room, the curtains weren’t opened for days now. She didn’t really care about that, she didn’t care about anything at all. A tray with little touched food was standing at the end of her bed and she was sitting in the far corner in the darkened room, staring ahead and thinking about what could have been or better should have been.
Sometimes there was a knock on her door and someone asked whether she was ok, but they never heard an answer. She hasn’t even told them why she suddenly came back, she hadn’t talked to anyone at all.
The arriving was fast but her departure to her room was even faster. And no one had a clue what happened with her because she’d never done that before.
She heard movement in front her room again and some whispering she sighed and leant her head back, stared at the ceiling and drew her legs up to her chest. There would be another knocking at her door, the same questions as always and she wouldn’t answer like the many times before.
But this time there was a gentle knocking on the door and than it opened, someone slipped into the room, and came straight towards her.
”Hey, how are you?” Still there was nothing but silence from her. “Please talk to me?! It isn’t good for you what you’re doing now, you’ve barely eaten anything. You can’t stay like that forever.”
”What are you doing here anyway, shouldn’t you be somewhere else?”, she asked carelessly. “Maybe, but I’m here now because I’m worried about you.” “You are worried about me?”, she asked with disbelieve. “Yes I’m worried but the others are too. Stop this insane behaviour and come outside with me, please?” There was silence again, and a sniffling sound that indicates that the tears are running down her face.
With a half hearted laugh she said, “You know it’s funny, of all the people I thought would come, you are the least one I counted on,” no one spoke a word for a few minutes, “I couldn’t stay, every single place in Seattle I remember her. It hurts to remember what I’ve done to her, it hurts to know that every time I turned around the corner I thought I could see a glimpse of her hair,” by then heavy tears were running down her face and the sobbing started, “But what hurts the most is that we could have been so good together. Christina, I hurt her so much but I at the end I hurt myself even more for chasing her away and not going after her.”
Callie started crying for the first time since she had arrived at her parents estate and Christina hugged her, “Shh, it’s ok Callie, everything will be ok.” The two of them sat there for a long time, till Callie looked up with at Christina, “Who told you where I am?”
”Addison. Mark called her and she found out that you might be here in Miami with your family.” Another long pause before a knock at the door interrupted the heavy silence in the room.
”Callie darlin’, can I come in please?” Christina looked up and asked, “Can I open the door Callie? It’s your mom she worried about you. Your brother and father are pacing downstairs, they just want to know that you’re ok.” “I’m not ok, I don’t think that I’ll ever be ok,” Callie said with sadness in her voice that tore at Christinas heart.
Christina got up and went to open the door, “Come in Mrs Torres.”
Callie’s mum came in and knelt down beside her daughter and took her hand in hers, “Callie, please talk to me, you know you tell me everything, no matter what it is.” “I think I made the biggest mistake of my life mom. I’ve lost the one thing that meant the most to me.”
”Is this about Erica sweetheart?” Callie looked up to Christina shocked. “I just told your mom that Erica left a few weeks ago, so don’t look at me like that.” “You had no right to do that,” Callie got angry and wanted to get up and run away from the confrontation that was going to come. But Mrs Torres put her hands on her daughter’s shoulders to keep her seated.
”Don’t be angry at your friend, she hasn’t told me anything. There was no need to. Callie your father and I am old but not dense. We knew that there was something between you and Erica, because every time you called you talked about her. What you’ve done together, how wonderful she is. It was so obvious because you laughed again and we were just glad that you were happy again. Sweetheart look at me,” Callie looked in her mother with teary eyes, “It doesn’t matter to us with whom you’re happy as long as you’re happy at all.”
Callie fell into her mothers arms and sobbed on her shoulder, “Oh darlin, please stop crying. No matter what happened, it can be sorted.” “This time I don’t think so.” “Let’s decide that downstairs. Go and freshen up and I try to stop your father to storm your room. He’s worried sick about you.”
”Ok,” Callie could hardly speak through all her tears and went to the bathroom and closed the door behind her.
