I was trying to do something constructive with my life.
I was trying to get myself out of this damn rut.
I was trying to take some initiative for once.
And Julie has once again cut the legs out from under me.

A few weeks ago I decided to visit Computertraining.com and see what they're all about. Thier program right now is offering an MCP, MCSA, and MCSE cert. omeone. A few days later, a very cheerful and nice lady named kristen called me to discuss my results. I did very, very well on the online test. 19 for 20 in section one, and 5 for 10 on the second section (2 for 10 is the national average). So I make an appointment to visit the Bensalem location and meet with another very nice lady named Lindsay, the admissions officer for that location. These Certifications are certainly within my technical grasp if I work hard enough and they'll help me make more money. The trouble is, I need to take out a student loan through SLM (a subsidiary of Sallie Mae) in the amount of $25,725 for my tuition to this 6 month course. Tuition includes all books, software testing vouchers and a brand new computer thats mine to keep. My credit score is somewhere in the 500 range, which for those keeping score at home is effing abysmal.

I need a co-borrower. I call my father the next morning. He says he needs to ask Julie. After a few days of deliberation her response is, "He got a car loan, he can get a student loan on his own." Yah, I can get a car loan, at 24% interest... Yes, thats what I'm paying for my new wheels. She is refusing to allow my father to sign for me because "If he defaults, it'll ruin our credit. Once again for those keeping score at home, they have no credit, as they're not married. It's solely my fathers credit thats the object of discussion at this point.

Christ I hate this woman to the core of my being.
