strange dreams
I had the weirdest dream or series of dreams. I don't remember all the details. Things were much stranger than I can describe them. First I think I went to hockey game. I ran into my friends Currie and Melissa and some other girls they know were there too. We watched the game which ended around six. It's night time, which is unusual this time of year at that hour. Currie and her friends follow me home and they are all really drunk. We are standing in the road in front of my house. I get hugs and kisses from all of them, and Currie practically tries to make out with me which is strange because she is a lesbian. I think I get invited to go to a party with them.
Then I get a call from Kevin asking if I am ready to go to that hockey game with him (another hockey game). I said I totally forgot, and I will get ready as quick as I can. Kevin's pissed and says we'll be late. I told him that he should have reminded me and that he should just not bother picking me up and he should go on without me. I decide to go on to that party, but I figure I should go to the gas station and get some beer and whatnot. I walk to the one down the street from me. Take note, I am walking everywhere in this dream. I even walk from the hockey game in Atlanta to my house. It is also twilight outside all of the sudden. I decide I want a snack, something sweet. I don't know exactly what I want, but this gas station doesn't have it so I walk to the one across the street. Here I notice some strange homeless orphans (brother and sister) who keep asking people to buy them food. I avoid them as much as possible. I look and see all kinds of candy bars and stuff but it isn't quite what I want. As I am leaving I notice the orphans shoplifting candy bars when the clerk isn't looking.
I then walk to the gas station behind it. This is odd because in real life there isn't one there. There is a church. The store at this station appears to be a log cabin. I go inside and it looks like a truck stop crossed with a hunting and fishing store. The only foods I see are beef jerky and crackers and such. Nothing sweet. Then I find a large cookie but it's peanut butter and I decide I don't want peanut butter. I ask the clerk where I could find more and he points to a hallway which leads to a cafeteria.
The hallway leads to this huge cafeteria which couldn't have possibly fit into the small cabin I saw before. There is a maze-like network of lines with lots of people in it, and there are conveyor belts to move them along. I see cookies and brownies and such and I sneak bites of them all. Then I see some old lady sitting next to a plate of fudge covered rice krispie treats. I take on and walk off. As I am eating it, I decide it would be a good idea to pay for it. I go back to the old lady and apologize and I give her a dollar. She says not to worry because she is keeping a mental note of everyone who takes a treat.
Then I decide to check out the other food. I walk through the network of lines. I have some trouble because of the conveyor belts. Some old man tells me that I am going the wrong way and he points me to the end of the line. There I see my dad. I haven't seen my dad in months so I hang out with him for a while. I think he buys me food.
Then we go for a walk in the woods. It's daytime. We find a baby snake and catch it. Then it turns out the snake is a rattlesnake so we let it lose, but instead of fleeing it tries to attack my dad. He kicks it away, but it comes back. It comes for me. I kick it away, but it comes back. It starts to chase us and we keep having to fight it off. It begins to spit acid at us. We run through the woods and things get darker and darker. There is green goopy acid everywhere that glows like fire. The forest is falling apart. Just when we think we have lost the snake we hear it crying in the distance (yes, the snake cried). Then there is an earthquake, and in the distance a giant monster rattlesnake rises from the earth. We start running for our lives, and the giant serpent chases us. We have to dodge acid and trees as they fall around us. We run around for a while nearly avoiding the snake's fanged maw at every corner. Just when we think that there is no where else to run a truck appears. I tell my dad to get in and drive. We get in the truck and drive off and the snake follows us.
The truck drives up trees and over logs and things. We eventually make it out of the forest and it appears the snake has given up. Now we are in some large field and there is a medieval castle in the distance. My dad drops me off here and drives away I think. Then I get stuck in some live-action role playing game against my will. It gets way strange after this. I can't even make sense of it. I remember falling into a pit with ogres and having to battle them. Then a dragon comes and eats them. Then I remember something about giant action figures that seemed to be important. I broke mine. Shit. Everything is kind of blurry after that. I wake up pretty soon after.
