I knew that getting assigned to the Hellmouth can be hazardous to ones health. I was sent here to replace one of the people who died in an apocalypse. That should be a clue or something. I guess things were going so well, marrying Summer, the worse thing we’ve had to deal with is freaking demonic bunnies and toads. So having someone, not even a vamp or some shit, try and kill me the other night was kind of an eye opener. Some crazy chick you yelled at me for trying to get him off of me, finally had to knock him out with a rock. Though I appreciate her being there and saving my ass.
Then I’m like cut up and bleeding and she asks me to help her bring my would be killer home to his wife? Wait, it gets better, I do it. Take him all the way into the house, have to look at the dudes wife as she has to learn that her husbands a nutcase who tried killing me. And this Izzy, left me sitting in the middle of these peoples living room, trying not to bleed on the floor as they try and decide the best way to deal with the guys. And I’ll be damned if chaining him up in the basement wasn’t their best option. So the blonde guy who was also there and this Izzy left me alone with the guy still passed out and the wife while they went and moved a bed to the basement and then they came back for him. I feel bad for the wife, I don’t know if Summer could handle it if something like that ever happened to me. When they were all done the blonde guy, Yuffie took me to the hospital and then home. Summer was very vocal about the condition I came home in.
I had to tell the Captain what happened, when I didn’t report in after patrol they called Morgann at home, dragged him away from his family to tell him I was missing. I had to fill out a shit load of reports explaining what happened. He sort of filled me in on who these people were and that no they weren’t crazy normally. He said he’d make some phone calls to see if they needed anything. Then he told me about the transfer. I’m being stationed at Pohakuloa Training Area in Hawaii. It comes with a bump in rank and a pay raise. I got to wonder if maybe Captain Morgann didn’t have something to do with this transfer. Not that I have a choice but to go. It just seems like too much of a coincidence, like I’m being pulled out of the game. Summer seems to be taking the news well, especially after this week. And Hawaii actually an awesome assignment, so I guess I should be happy, right?
