Okay, this is a new one -- a six-foot-long alligator was caught in Allentown. No, seriously. Local odds are that it's someone escaped pet, or that it was let go when it got to be too much to handle ( Read more... )

Aw man, so THAT'S where that gator went that I had with me when I went up to AC this summer. Little guy got out of my bag when I was in the Dealer's Den, and I was *wondering* where he took off to. Just ship him back down here to Florida. ;D

It is odd just how many people try keeping these animals as pets. If they want reptiles, maybe they should try something more inoffensive, like an iguana?

Also... six feet long and fifty pounds? I don't know much about gators, but that sounds kinda skinny to me.
