I wish more of it were like Samurai Jack. That was a bit trippy, but in an inspired way.

I liked Samurai Jack. Very cool and weird in a good way. So of course it seemed like the CN execs had to do everything in their power to kill it (much like Justice League, but that's a whole other rant). Heck, they didn't even show the last episode in this country!

Er ... curvy wolfess ... featured in a Popeye cartoon? Say what?! I guess there's a story behind this one?

Well, 'featured' might be a bit of an exaggeration.

It went like this: Popeye and Olive Oyl go to Alaska on a ski trip. Bluto is a French(ish) ski instructor who immediatly goes nuts over Olive. He howls like a wolf when he sees her -- at which point a curvy, cute she-wolf comes running out of the woods, stands up on her hind legs, and gives him a kiss. Bluto throws her away and concentrates on Olive.

At the end of the cartoon, after the usual formulaic abuse of Popeye, The sailor man slugs Bluto so hard he flies all the way to a beach in Florida, which is swarming with gorgeous dames in bikinis. Bluto howls like a wolf again -- and again, the pretty she-wolf comes running from off-screen and gives him another big kiss, at which point the cartoon ends.

Even my own decidedly non-furry father said, "Bluto should keep the wolf, she's better-lookin' than Olive Oyl."

It was on a gaming forum, so let the buyer beware and all that.

Though I understand that Season 4, at least, should be out within a few weeks.

Ahh, that would explain it. Yeah, I'd definitely take that with a grain of salt.

Razz and I are looking forward to the impending DVDing, though.
