Finally.
It took 9ish hours, but I finally got Ubuntu running on my computer with ALL the hardware working and ALL the mousebuttons working like I want them to and everything else.
The ease of installing drivers interests me, and I'm going to have to get used to compiling everything. Seems like Linux is a bitch to set up (on non-standard systems), but I think it'll be pretty smooth sailing from here on.
EDIT: Oh god, 10 hours. I thought it was 12:50, not 1:50.
