And here now, as promised, the present I got from delaese - I had to pilfer the picture from a website, because the scanner's not working. Pity, that, because the pressie came with an instruction.

And if you think it's easy to get that thingy to produce a tone, you're wrong. I've been driving the cats crazy while trying - well, all aside from Max, but then Max loves bagpipes, what can you expect - yet it will probably take a few months before I'll get people dance to my tune. Heh! It's beautifully made, and I love it. :-) It came with a leaflet and instructions - there must be a gazillion of different whistles, and no matter where my career might take me to: a bo's'un I'll never be!
But at least I'll have to manage the "supper's ready, folks!" one; if I serve my friends "spotted dick" or "drowned baby" (I'm looking at you, Alex!), I want to introduce the meal in style! :-)
