I am feeling wealthy
I got my first pay check the other night from my new job. It was only from the first week that I was working there but it was still more than I usually make for two weeks of working at my job in Edmonton. So I'm very glad that I came here. A couple of my friends from high school work here too.
There are other perks for working at the Park too. My boss lives right near where I live and since we are going to the same place she drives me to and from work on all the days that we work the same shift. So that takes care of almost every problem I would have with getting to and from work that wouldn't happen at any other job. I don't live in town so I won't be able to spend my money on anything other than the occasional lunch. Mom has all kinds of healthy food at home and my brother isn't here to eat it so there is always yummy food that I can bring to work and not even have to spend money. There are also a lot of yummy campers that come in; hot guys in shorts with nice legs that are here for the unique hiking trails. I know I have a boyfriend. But it's like my boss said last week "You may be taken, but you're not blind!" XDDD
Also, apparently my marks were high enough this year that I have been offered another $1000 scholarship. I'm going to write up the application tonight and get Mom to fax it off tomorrow!
When all is said and done, I won't just have this years tuition paid for, I'll be most of the way through next year's tuition as well! Then I can save up some money throughout the year and finish that up. I'll keep saving and when I take this job again next year I'll have living expenses for if I decide to go to the University of Lethbridge instead of the University of Alberta. I'll explain my reasoning another time. It's not like I've made a decision yet or anything.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have Internet access at work. It doesn't have messenger because it is a work computer. But when Mom drives me to work on the mornings that I open alone I get here an hour and a half early and I can also go on the computers on my break. I'll still be hanging around here and on the forums so I won't vanish for the summer like I thought. I'll still be around, sorry I can't chat though.
