In Which Our Heroine Fails at Napping
I had rehearsal in SF this morning, so I hauled my half-dead self out of bed, got on the train, went to rehearsal, kicked ass, came home, went straight to lunch with the family (which was the fisrt I'd really eaten), got home...and immediately passed out for two hours. I was so disoriented when I woke up; I have drapes in my room to block out all the light when I'm sleeping, so when I woke to dark and the sound of someone in my bathroom, my first thought was panic that I had slep for hours and it was now 2am and I was hearing my brother in the bathroom and how was I ever going to sleep and wake up again by a reasonable time.
As it turns out, it was only about 6:30pm and I was fine, but it was a really bizarre senstaion because I haven't "napped" as it were in years. That, and even back when I was in some show at LasPo and use to come home after class, nap to David Robert Hall narrating "Cold Case Files", and then go back for rehearsal, I always made sure to nap on the couch for the very reason of not being so disoriented when I work up.
And of course, all of this information is entire inconsequential, but there you have it. TL;DR: I need to not take naps.

In other news, I got the best St. Valentine's Day gift ever when I got jury summons! But, I am now a sad panda, for I am not called for 9am, and have to call at 11am tomorrow to see if I'm needed for the afternoon session. Although on the bright side, if I'm not called in at all, I will make it to class and can actually run rehearsal instead of "Here watch this movie while I'm not here and maybe you will all magically understand the style of this show DEAR HEAVEN IT'S BRITISH HUMOR WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND!!!!" They're all very nice, and for the most part pretty good actors in the general sense, but they are mostly beginners or returned-after-long-hiatus folk, so trying to have them do something stylized is a little challenging. But that's what I get for bringing something different to the table.
I have also discovered Xfinity (and I suppose Hulu, though that one sometimes has issues with my computer), and now I will never get homework done unless I am on BART and cannot get internet connection.
