A Crystalline Failure
I cannot BELIEVE I paid ten bucks for this bullshit! I paid my good money to be forced into farming not one, not two, but SIX stupid-ass items from weak mobs against dozens of competing players. And after that, then what? There’s only like two fights in the entire expansion! People got it done the very first night! So much for two weeks of content.

if yer gunna make a system that depends on using runes (especially since most of the good ones come from buying them...) reducing the amount of currency you need in order to make better, more challenging mazes just because they made the maze mobs weaker is a fucking stupid way of "balancing things out" because now it takes double the time to get the stuff you wanna buy if you actually wanna have fun with MMM! If they were gunna do that they should have just removed the stupid "only once a day" restriction on it. And that whole "Oh but if you dont go for afew days you get better stuff! yaaaaaaay!" thing is totally uncalled for - i dont even know *why* they put that in - to prevent server overload? They should have just increased the abysmally low drop rates on the items not make it so you need to wait to feel like you have a chance at getting it (It dosnt say what exactally you get from the chest - just says "equipment" which could simply mean you have to wait 5 days to have a 10% chance to get a Cuir harness... and from this updates new "improvements" I really wouldnt put it past SE...
SE seems to have no idea what motivates players to do things. For example, making MMM take twice as long to get what you want from it dosnt sound like it'll bring in waves of new people (who would be at a total disadvantage since they cant get runes as easily). Likewise the whole campaign exp nerf seems like it'll just *repel* people from doing offensive campaigns - which they already dont seem to do very often anyway. There goes my chance for a roundel anytime soon...
The new "Augments" system is another really weird concept that dosnt seem like it'll get people motivated to do more FoV. The fact that you have to surrender an item (which of course now, will be limited to just garbage that people didnt use before anyway) to get totally random stats on it - including negative stats - is totally not worth it unless you get *reaaaaaallly* lucky and now have a pair of slacks that gives +2 int and +mp or whatever when lvling a low level mage job. They literally said "you can pick 2 augments of your choice" in the update announcement only to deliver *THIS* sad peice of crap?
There are some people who are thinking "no, wait a minute - they said you can choose what you want so this must not be the real thing, just a little taste of it for casual players!" As much as I'm hoping that this is true, seeing as how the new ANNM battles go where if you kill all the mobs, you get a "superior augment", as a reward, would be totally pointless if the sytstem they advertised was in place. Why work hard to end up with an Errant body with -spell reduction and +afew more mp when you augment *your* E-body and make it the way you want with better stats? The fact that they didnt even bother adding new items for those NM's ticked me off pretty bad too.
And yeah... there are already people on the last fight of ACP... in a day... that whole "2 weeks to 1 month" timeline was total bullshit. And it was made by the Zilart team...

Cuz I did it right after I did CoP and it was *sinfully* easy compared to it. For the next 2 mini expansions can we get the CoP team on it? It was frustrating at times and was a total mind fuck...
but it was the most fun I had in FF in a long time - it was a challenge and had rewards equivilent to the effort you put into it...
/sigh atleast the red/white mages and smn are happy.
