I am writing this as I am watching the final five episodes of season two of 24. It is around past 5 AM in the morning, and these few past days I have spent some long nights in front of the TV. I have to say though that while the first half or so was great, right now it is getting somewhat boring. As of now, I can't even wait until it is over, so I watching it on a small screen while typing.

I guess part of the problem is that they are dragging out these end events way too far, and I am kind of sure what the end result will be, so I just want to get there. That just annoys the hell out of me. I can't even imagine how annoying it would be for me to watch it one episode each week. Actually, I don't think I would.

The other day I was in the store and I noticed that the Norwegian cauliflower is coming. It was nice and big and white, and all of a sudden I realised it had been a good while since I had eaten cauliflower soup. I picked up a nice cauliflower and a bag of soup, and later that night, I made the soup.

Cauliflower soup is so good! I remember when I was a kid, we often ate it during autumn. My grandmother used to make the best cauliflower soup, but unfortunately, right now she wouldn't even know her name or where she is. Making soup from one of those bags with dried base is of course not the same, but it is still good. My secret trick is to add cayenne pepper and a lot of fresh cauliflower. That gives it that little special edge that it needs.

I talked to some friends, and apparently, it is not common to eat cauliflower soup in the USA. They are certainly missing out! I think I am going to bring some when I go to my visit a friend later this year. All I need is the bag with dried contents. At least they have cauliflower and cayenne pepper over there.
