cube-assembly crew came today and while I was puzzling out a timing glitch in my software, managed to demolish and reconstruct our old office layout, and make a whole new one.
The old layout was all modern and open, but the problem was that everyone sort of had their back to the center of the room so you ended up with this constant paranoia, not to mention a horking big empty space that nobody quite knew what to do with (and usually became cluttered with test equipment). Now we have a layout that's more along the lines of 'find the cheese, mousey!' which I can see will have it's pros and cons, but at least we can't say we're not maximizing our usable space anymore. :-D
I now have an urge to find a 'hang in there kitty' poster to commemorate our new 'farm' (evil laughter)
or some christmas lights. tis the season to be festive, afterall.
