The Terminator It's just one of those classic movies. Since I haven't seen it in several years I didn't remember very much, which is always good. I love how it says right away that it takes place in 1984. So even though the fashion and hair look a bit outdated, the movie itself doesn't have that feel. While it's action packed, it also has a really sweet love story and I love watching Sarah Connor finally starting to see what she can become. Plus I'm a sucker for time travel. This is packed full of win. Four cheers.

Sicko I think this could easily be Michael Moore's best documentary. Bowling for Columbine left very little impression (maybe I should watch it again) and Farenheit 911 was good, but not great. I just found this to be insightful, touching and ultimately very sad. I can't say I'm a very proud American to begin with, but this made me respect how other countries really take care of their own. Is America really the only country in the world that makes people pay for health insurance? It was quite heartbreaking to see how poorly we're taken care of - and yes I cried more than once. Just eye-opening stuff. I can't help but wonder what Americans will think of this documentary 100 years from now. Four cheers.

Empire Records This was recommended by a friend and it was pretty funny. I enjoyed the quirky, 90s feel and music. Not much to say about it, but I enjoyed it. It was cute. Yeah that's the word. Two cheers.

Combat Shock We saw this at the Fangoria convention and it's a pretty twisted little flick. It's about a guy who comes back from the war and is slowly losing his mind. He lives in squalor with his bitchy pregnant wife and a strangely deformed child, almost Eraserhead-esque. Two cheers.
