All's well that ends well.

It's been a wretched week, but I can't find it in myself to complain beyond that. Last night, we went out for Italian and I had some spectacular wine that made me sing along like a Dorkimus Maximus to Sonata Arctica in the car, occasionally turning to Luke and letting him know "this song is about WOLVES. WOLVES." So you know, whatever horrible things happened earlier that day, it ended with WOLVES and me yelling lines like "WELL-FED PUPPY" at the top of my lungs. (FYI, the song in question is "It Won't Fade" which I didn't realize was a patent Sonata wolf song until all too recently. I highly recommend it.)

And now here I sit with some black coffee in hand, about to experience my two favorite hours of the morning: when I'm under the influence of Peet's and unfazed by anything. Really guys, it's taken me three years of coffee-drinking to get to the black stage and... I can't ever go back. It's so delicious. And ZERO CALORIES!

...offset a bit by the donuts my boss just gave me.

I am wearing my brand new Terminator swag, a Cyberdyne / Skynet tee I found online FOR GIRLS (GASP), along with my robot earrings, just to go with a theme today. A theme of "Yes, I'm a geek and I very much enjoy it."

Hopefully this weekend I can find time to catch a showing of Alice in Wonderland, mostly because I am dying to see the new Tron Legacy trailer, but also because the split-down-the-middle reviews of Alice have me terribly curious. I tend to enjoy films other people can't make up their minds about.

things of win, sonata arctica, geekery, movies, is my fandom showing?, music, terminator, life, work
