I love how she mentions "Uh, are you sure this isn't the Assassin's Creed movie?" in that first part. Because that's exactly where my mind went--"Altair?"

I don't know what to think. Someone pointed out that it looks like Pirates of the Caribbean but on land. In, uh, Persia. Which? Doesn't have to be a bad thing. Granted, it will grate on the gamers more than the non-gamers (like me) if it's not more like the games. However, I liked the first PotC, so if it's like that, I could break my "Gyllenhaaaaaaaaaaaal! ::shakes fist::" movie streak. (I really need to see Brokeback Mountain so I can stop hating him for The Day After Tomorrow already.)

GASP! What's wrong with Jake in The Day After Tomorrow? Well, OK, I didn't really notice him in it with all those disaster special effects. I knew the movie was going to be bad, but we went and saw it any for those disaster scenes alone. Just like we'll do for 2012, which I think of as Day After Tomorrow 2.

I think the problem with Jake Gylenhaal in The Day After Tomorrow is that he's in The Day After Tomorrow. I just...I can't stand the bad science, the wolves, the...the everything. I think I laughed at the librarians arguing over what books were okay to burn, and that was the first, last, and only time I enjoyed myself with that movie. If I ever meet Roland Emmerich, I'm nut-punching him.

HAHA! Yes, the wolves were a definite "wtf?" moment but I left the theater happy because I wasn't expecting anything other than tornadoes and tidal waves on a big screen. Anything else was of little importance. I'm very easy to please at times. Ugh, You can nut-punch Mr. Emmerich for this and I'll nut-punch him for what he did to Godzilla.

You probably mentioned it way back when you first talked about this film in an entry, but I didn't know/recall that Disney was putting it out. Was that Russell Crowe I saw? Looked a little younger, so maybe not. I know that was Ben Kingsley though.

Anyway, I'll see it, but I'm not expecting to love it at this point.

Yeah, that king dude wasn't Russell Crowe - the only big names in the movie are Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina.

Disney bought the rights to this back in 2004, right after the Sands of Time came out - that game's pretty much considered a masterpiece of the last-generation consoles, now, and in my case it was the game that got me into gaming. :) So you can say I'm a bit attached to it, and I'm hoping the movie is as much fun as it should be.

Doctor Octopus in Spider-man 2! I KNEW I'd figure out where I knew the name "Alfred Molina" from if I thought about long enough, and I didn't even have to look it up! *proud grin* ..... that is the right guy, right?

I didn't know Sands of Time was what got you into gaming or that you'd only been gaming since 2004. Cool. That's the first of the last-gen Prince of Persia game, right? The franchise's big comeback? Anyway, I can see why you'd be attached to it. As much as I can sit here and say I'm not expecting much from the film, I'm sure I at least will thoroughly enjoy it. Disney doesn't do bad movies. Seriously. Especially not with a budget like this. Of course, I don't have the history with it that you do and won't have any expectations tied in with the game.
