1. San Francisco was beautiful! As always. I'm so glad we got the chance to go; it was the perfect break from the madness down here. Assorted pics are up
on Flickr. We had such a good visit with Luke's sisters, and also snuck in some well-spent time with a couple old friends we miss dearly. Why do so many awesome people live in the Bay Area? I swear, half of the people I care about in my life have moved there over the past few years. They keep urging us to follow, and we've thought about it, but... I don't know. It's all about the job sitch. I think I fell a little in love with the Half Moon Bay beach towns, though. Yeah, dream on!
2. The Resistance has leaked. It's all over YouTube. (FTR, I wouldn't trust most download sites because there has been a fake leak going around for awhile now, with only two actual Muse songs.) I've heard everything save the Exogenesis Symphony, which I absolutely refuse to listen to until release day. I also refuse to do a proper "review" of the album until the 15th. I'm so mad at myself for failing, yet again, to hold out for a complete first listen... but FANNISH INTEGRITY BE DAMNED, I AM TOO FRELLING HAPPY RIGHT NOW. It's the live vids from Teignmouth that did me in. I just couldn't stop listening to them, and the studio versions were only a click away. UNNATURAL SELECTION? MK ULTRA? OH MUSE. OH, MUSE.
ETA: Add to that "I Belong To You (+Mon Cœur S'ouvre À Ta Voix)" - so unlike anything they've done before and yet? PERFECT.
