Mute Math are debuting a new song on the Twilight soundtrack, and reportedly wrote some music for a scene in the film. Something tells me these boys have NO. IDEA. what they're getting into, and are simply going "yay exposure!" It kills me. Guys! Just, el oh el. And of course, Muse is on there too, because Stephenie Meyer claims their inspiration in every single book's "acknowledgements" section. Oh dear. Weird song choice too: "Supermassive Black Hole"?
Church last night was SO AWESOME. My young adults group meets on Sunday nights and they are the greatest bunch of people ever. They make me laugh, think, and sometimes hold my head in frustration, but are always class acts. Seriously, the debates last night were CHARGED, but even the ad hominem attacks were a source of glee. I really don't know how I'd function throughout the week without these folks. LOVE.
I have been working at the speed of light so far today, fueled by first coffee and then Jack-in-the-Box (bad idea; I always regret it when I decide on junk food for lunch). The load has been piling up these past couple of weeks, which is good and bad. Lots of issues we've had to keep tabs on, but I've been able to pull off some astounding feats in efficiency that make me feel good and valuable as an employee.
November weather is beautiful so far. I want to go out and bask.
Writing is masochism. Both exciting and painful, and exciting because it's painful, and so on. I'm so glad I'm not trying to pull this thing off as a NaNo novel. I'd die.
