Southern California, beware.

I passed my drivetest today. *shifty eyes* The streets are no longer safe! I am officially, at long last, a licensed driver. O JOY.

It feels ridiculously good to have that behind me. Everything past that DMV appointment this morning was a giant black void; so much of the following summer depends upon my driving freedom. Now I can, indeed, make the most of it. Yay!

Quick update on writing endeavors: There is a light at the end of the tunnel for my Batfic. I know, I am such a painfully slow writer lately, it's terrible - I second-guess myself too much. But it is coming. Then I'll attempt another Star Wars one-shot that's been brewing in my brain for awhile, and finally, a multi-chaptered X-File - which I've been wanting to do for ages. Set during season 4, most likely.

My old Matrix fic still sulks at me and calls me names, most of which I deserve - I will return to it eventually, I just need to map out exactly where I'm going with it, and oh - rewatch those movies, perhaps... I miss Neo and company.

The other creative project I'm way behind on is my long-defunct homepage, Reversing Earth. I promised myself I'd get that done this summer - it's gonna take a lot of slaving between now and August 20th to make good on that promise.

Anyway... holy snap. I've been so preoccupied with my drivetest I haven't been able to concentrate on the fact that Half-Blood Prince comes out tomorrow. Amazon says my copy shall be in my hands "before 7pm", which is not a very encouraging disclaimer. Most of you, I'm sure, will already be done reading it by then. ;P
