Elliot has decided that baby food is for babies and that he prefers grownup food. He likes rice, pizza crust with some pizza sauce on it, meatballs, etc. He loves anything with pumpkin in it. There are still a few baby foods he will eat, but he has figured out the concept of seasoning, and bland food won’t cut it anymore.

He has learned to clap, and enjoys being able to make a noise. Unlike adults, he doesn't just clap when he approves of something. He claps at me when I’m changing him sometimes, saying, “hurry up, mom!”

He did not sleep well this month, poor teething boy. Neither did poor mommy and daddy. He got three more teeth all at the same time. That can't be fun.

He started walking this month, taking a couple of shaky steps as mommy, daddy, and Até looked on and cheered. He took a few days off, and then started walking regularly. He got up to 20 steps, and is determined to practice all of the time. He has realized how convenient it is to locomote and still have his hands available.

He likes to play a game with daddy in the morning. Daddy puts the covers over his head, and Elliot seeks him out. Sorry daddy, no sleeping in for you. I must jump on your face! Or other body parts!

New words: Yum, more.
