New door installed!

I really need to get some sort of carpenter icon, or something...

We got the new door installed today.  I wish I could say that I had more to do with it, but I didn't do much more than help hold it in place while the shims and screws were installed, and pass tools to John, the fellow helping me out.

I'd be very cautious about hay from along a highway. Not only will it contain contaminants like road salt and spray, but all the litter people toss from vehicles and particulates that settle out of dirty exhausts. Even though it's possible that highways around your area are cleaner than they are here, it would bother me.

We see enough litter in our hay here as it is. Everything from plastic backs and tobacco wrappers to fast food containers and broken toys.

I'm going to ditto the roadside hay. Granted, your area probably sees a LOT less traffic than the interstates at big cities.

As for government meat, I'd wonder if it was for low-income families, or what. Given that you're in a rural area, it might well be a buncha deer got bounced off the front of someone's truck. Cook as completely as possible, just in case, I suppose.

As for the 'experiment', sounds like a more homogenous version of a shepherd's pie. Mmm.. Potato-chicken slurry.
