First things first:
WE OWN A HOUSE!
.....or well, we will June 01/07 if all the paperwork keeps moving smoothly.
Want to see
so the first photo is the front of the house. IT IS VERY TINY. TINY! and it needs a lot of love but we are very happy and it was considerably less than what most comparable houses are going for in Nutana right now.
this is the back of the house
and the garage in the back
You will note that the picture of the back of the house and the garage don't overlap, which shows you that our yard is actually a decent size (30x140ft) and there will be lots of room for chard and tomatoes and rhubarb and raspberries!
Be prepared for lots of 'DIY' photo shoots as we gut and re-do most of the inside during june/july.
AND BACK TO THE IMPORTANT STUFF- KNITTING!
so i was complaining last time about the horrible self striping yarn with the icky insert that I made into socks for mike's dad.
here they are in all their icky hallowe'en glory:
I still had lots of yarn left over since they're only ankle socks so I cut out all the yucky hallowe'en yarn
and made a pair of socks for ARIANE!
I also made a pair of socks for my mum for mother's day
I'm really sick of self-patterning yarn. It's nice because I don't have to think while I knit and I can watch movies and stuff. But man, I'm so sick of stockinette stitch. Onto the lace and/or cables!
oh! last week, I also made
A hat! for one of my former colleagues at WPGA. (i'm really bad at the self-photo shoot!) I hope she likes it. It was super easy- the pattern is the official kittyville62 hat from
http://www.kittyville.com/knit/kitty_hat.html and last but not least. it's spring here now. tulips, daffodils, irises and most importantly:
pellies:
