The Boy

Hello Everyone,
I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. We had a very nice
gathering at my
sister's house. Lots of people, lots of food, lots of gifts, but
most
importantly lots of love.

Leland called on Monday morning. He spent most of Christmas day
in a bunker,
but everyone is Ok. And the box I sent him for Christmas arrived
on
Christmas day, so he had a gift to open after all. The
replacement troops
are in Kuwait, and should arrive at Camp Seitz tomorrow. He got
official
word that he will not be making the 3 day trek across the
desert. He will be
flying to Kuwait. And I thank God for answered prayers!

The plan is that they will leave Baghdad on January 12th and fly
to Kuwait,
and leave Kuwait, possibly as early as January 31 and fly to
Forbes Airfield
in Topeka KS. Where we will be allowed to meet his plane. So,
just over a
month to go!

These troops still need our prayers, that they can stay focused
and safe
until they depart and for the long journey home. And then of
course there
are all the others still there, and those coming to replace the
ones
leaving.

I will keep you all posted as we learn more. Thanks for all of
your support.
We would not have made it through this year without all of you!
Carol
