Mystery Saddle
Can anybody tell me what kind of saddle this is and what it might be used for? I've never come across anything quite like it before. My first thought when I saw it was "McClellan saddle," but I'm not sure that's right. It was found in my uncle's basement, and while I only ever saw him ride western disciplines, I've seen pictures of him riding saddle seat before when he was much younger, but it doesn't look like it would be used in saddle seat either. I initially thought it might be for a child since it's small and has stirrup covers, but the stirrup leathers are long enough for me. Any ideas?
