I just wanted to say "Thank you" to everyone who had words of encouragement a few weeks ago about me sending my Paso Fino Strider out for training.

He's been there 1 week as of today, and I went to visit yesterday, and got to watch the trainer riding him. He's already progressed to that! I am SUPER happy with what I saw and how he was being handled and the care and condition he was in. The Owner of the Facility was wonderful and explained everything we were seeing (the trainer speaks only Spanish, so she interpreted for us), and she praised my boy high and low and said I'd done a good job with him, and that he was a very good looking Paso Fino and I could even take him to shows and not once feel ashamed of him. She just made me glow!

And, I almost cried watching him being ridden. Because, I had a flashback for a moment of the foal I'd bought from a picture (and a pedigree) almost 5 years ago, all grown up in front of me, and just how far we'd come together.

Overall, he's progressing very well, I'm very happy with him, and now I am getting VERY excited to have him come home so I can start riding him!

Thanks again everyone for helping calm me down. The transition went well, and she said he only cried for 2 hours after we left, and Socks didn't cry at all, though he seems a wee bit listless this week, we went for a ride yesterday and he acted wonderfully. Perhaps not having Strider around to cry and distract him while we're riding is yet another benefit. :)
