My horse needs a new bridle pretty badly. I found this one on eBay and I *love* it. He's a medium-to-dark brown (black in winter, lighter in spring/summer) and baby blue (or blue in general) is his color. Everything blue looks GREAT on him, so when I saw this I just absolutely died.
Is something like this apporpriate for the show ring? I do not want to look like "the woman in the t-shirt", or offend the judge, even if it's just a schooling show. I could accent it with ether same-color blue fillis stirrup pads, or a white saddle pad with blue piping.
Would it be better to order it with white padding and get it dyed a paler, sky/pastel blue? Would it be better to not do this at all?
I don't show very often, but his half-boarder is doing 1st/2nd level this summer and fall, mostly schooling shows but MAYBE a rated or two.
I do clinics with upper level/GP riders and they've never protested my baby blue polo wraps or saddle pad, but I also understand that clinics are different than showing.
