Horse prices around the world!

My husband and I are beginning to entertain the idea of moving out of southwest Ohio where we are now. We aren't sure where or when or if it will even happen, but we've looked at Austin, TX, Denver, CO, Tucson, AZ, North Carolina (no specific town, really), and I tried to talk him into Ocala, FL, but I don't think he's going for it. I've also looked into applying for a job with SmartPak equine and they're located in Plymouth, MA, but I know how expensive the East Coast can be.

If we go through with a move I'd really like to bring along my horse. So! My questions for you all is this: Where do you live? What do you pay for board and what does that include? What is the most popular style of riding in your area (I'm trying to get into eventing), and what are good/bad things about the horse world where you live?

Here in Ohio there's a strong AQHA scene, but it's also easy to find a hunter/jumper, dressage or even eventing barn (not as common as dressage or H/J, but they're around) if you want. It's easy to find quality pasture and hay, no worries of sand colic, and we have Big Name Trainers in our area. I currently pay $350/month for full care board that includes feeding quality grass mix hay and SafeChoice and any supplements provided by the owner. Stall cleaning and turnout are included, but blanketing is not. Horses go out in small, compatible groups all day during the winter, and all night during the summer. Pastures are safe with 4-board fencing with a line of hot wire on the top board, and the entire farm is fenced in should anybody escape. They throw hay while they're out in the winter. There's no indoor or hot water in the barn. Buckets are scrubbed weekly, and the BO just installed automatic waterers in the pastures, so they always have access to clean, fresh, unfrozen water. It's currently a private farm with no trainer on site, but that is changing soon (along with an increase in board). We have a medium sized outdoor arena with jumps available, an "all-weather" paddock (sand and drainage), and small cross country field. There's only 4 of us boarders right now, and we all ride separate disciplines: eventing (but we're mainly focusing on dressage right now) for me, strictly dressage for another, a beginner adult who wants to get into H/J eventually, and another who goes western and just likes to trail ride. It's a great place, especially for the money I'm paying now!

Though we're looking strictly in the US, feel free to answer if you live in any other part of the world! Also, if anyone has any experience shipping horses long distance I'd love to hear about that.
