I'm bored at work and you guys don't post enough to keep me entertained, so HERE HAVE A STORY.
This is actually from a couple of weeks ago, but the pony hasn't done anythiing more amusing since. I no longer ride Junior--SOB!--but George is entertaining in his own right, as only the very sly equines can be. He's technically horse sized but is all pony in attitude, I swear. Just imagine a short fleabitten grey grade horse with a devilishy disarming face. If he tells you he's innocent, he lies.
So. There is a pole. Just one pole, and we're trying to canter over it and continue on a nice circle. I'm going for least an oval, instead of something vaguely diamond shape because Round Corners Are Hard. Anyway. The problem is that George is a very lazy boy...unless, of course, he's proving a point.
George: OKAY I WENT OVER THE POLE TIME TO TROT NOW.
Me: >:| NO. Cantercantercantercantercanter!
George: Gosh you are SUCH A NAG. /indignant head toss, huffy canter...until just after the pole
Me: The ENTIRE way around, George.
George: Noooooooooo. ...gah, THE LEG, ALWAYS THE LEG. WHY.
I finally succeeded in making him canter over the pole and go a whole circle. He has, by this point, cantered thrice as many circles as required becuase he's a twit. A horse's ability to be counterproductively lazy is never short of amazing.
My trainer then sets up TWO poles and told me to trot over them. Trot. Trooooot. Only trot.
Can you guess what happened, Equestrian?!?!
George: Okay, more poles. This means MORE CANTER. Haha, human, I am smart, I have figured out the pattern!!!! Let me show you my smarts!!!!!!!!
Me: No no no, I feel you rushing, I'll just half halt-
George: Oh nice now I'm set up to CANTER!
Me: jdasdaksjdaklsjdak YOU ARE NOT JUNIOR WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS.
George: You wanted me to canter over the pole! I am cantering over the poles! CANTER OVER ALL POLES EVERYWHERE FOREVER.
Me: ...
ALL POLES EVERYWHERE FOREVER.
And that is George.
(it took four tries, by the way, until he finally trotted)
funny stuff,
silliness
