I'm in the process of selling my old saddle (a Wintec AP I've been riding in for several years) and test-riding used saddles. I currently have a Crosby Wembley II on trial for the next week. Does anybody have any input about this particular saddle, or about Crosbys in general? It's a really comfortable saddle, but I'm comparing it to what I've been riding in, a no-name saddle on loan from my barn that feels like riding a 2 x 4. Anything is probably a step up, tailbone-wise! It fits my mare pretty well -- I still have some assessment to do -- and the leather is in wonderful shape. They're asking $300 for it but I may be able to talk them down to $250. Any input you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
ETA: Thanks everyone! The folks at my barn like the Crosbys but sometimes they're not the best experts! I'm happy to hear it sounds like a good saddle and a good deal. Now just to make sure it fits my horse...
