RIP Tony Curtis

Oct 01, 2010 07:38

For those that may not have heard, Tony Curtis, famous actor and founder of Shiloh Horse Rescue, passed away of a heart attack yesterday. He leaves behind his loving wife Jill and a legacy of excellence in horse rescue. We have lost a truly remarkable horseman. He never cared what his horses were worth. Or how many ribbons they could bring in. Or if they only had a few weeks left to live out in peace or could ever even be re-homed. He loved them all. Each one was welcome at Shiloh, and they were loved. I wish all horses could, at least once in their lives, know a place as wonderful as what he helped create. Bow your head for a moment, everyone, at the loss of a true horseman.
