I am looking into electrolytes for my horse. We have begun eventing and it's rather hot here in the midwest, so he will certainly need them. A lesson barn I work in has an electrolyte supplement by Farnam called Ascend Performance Gel. Rather than being packaged in disposable syringes, the electrolytes are packaged in either disposable packets or in a large jug with a pump, like so:
I personally think this is a great idea and would like to try it out. However, after much unproductive searching today I called Farnam to learn that the Ascend gel has been discontinued. I could certainly get some from the schooling barn, or track down some old stock, but what's the use of getting a supplement that I can't replace?
So the real question is, does anyone know of a similar product? I don't want the gels or pastes that come in syringes, that gets cumbersome and isn't efficient. I don't mind the powders or crumbles, but I already have something picked out if I'm going that way. What I'd really like to find is another gel that comes in a big pump jug or in those individual packets.
