I'm not sure. The guy who turns out horses where I board just gives them a spritz before each turnout, usually daily unless the weather is total crap. A bottle lasted several months.
Really? I am shocked as that product I have tried a couple times and it didn't keep ANY flies away at all. You are lucky it works where you are. The only things I can get to work at all are Absorbine Ultra Shield (I think that is the name, quite sure) and Endure. I do think one of htem has the sunscreen as well but I know the Endure does not. They are both sweat resistant and claim once you use them a few times you only need to apply once every 17 days but that is bull of course. But it does work at least. IT is a few dollars more than the Equisect, that is why I tried the Equisect but jeez, it did nothing here. And I go through a bottle every 10 days.I buy it by the gallon whenever I can afford to. IF I don't put it on that often they are out there stomping, switching tails and miserable.
Yikes! Well, I'm in Connecticut where the fly season isn't too bad. To be honest, I was speaking about the sunblock aspect of the product, rather than the fly resistance.
Yup, sorry bout that, of course you were. I saw the brand and thought jeez, that don't work at all for me with mine. Never even entered my mind again that it was its sunburn properties you were speaking of. I have no clue as to whether it works for that or not, just that it doesn't work for flies for me.
