Shipping Breyer Horses

I am about to divest of a very large number of Breyer model horses (need money, can't find enough work, you all know the story). I am a total newbie to the whole eBay world, but I am figuring things out (I think). Before I actually list them online, I wanted to make sure I have everything organized and I am trying to figure out how to safely mail

I'm not experienced in shipping Breyers, however I am very experienced in eBay sales

Is that for paypal at all or just through eBay? I am hesitant to take checks or cash from people whom I don't know personally and would not ship the model until I had the cash in hand, which I know some people wouldn't like.

I've sold other things on eBay (Americal Girl stuff) and not a single person had a problem waiting for the check to clear before shipping.

I'm pretty sure you have to accept PayPal as an option now. I haven't sold anything in awhile, but the buzz in Nov/Dec was that you would not be allowed to accept checks & money orders at all very soon. Not sure when that goes into affect or if it already has.

eBay and PayPal are the same company, so you're really paying eBay Inc. double fees. They both suck.

Well maybe I'll try posting everything on sellyourtack first and see what happens before I put them on eBay...

I agree, Ebay now is a pain in the arse.

This started in the last year, and it only applies to new sellers, sellers with less than 4.6 stars in any category or sellers of "high risk items" such as things often counterfeited or high dollar items. If your account is several years old and you have high enough feedback (I want to say its feedback over 100, but I'd have to look) then they won't hold your funds.
