Leaving

This is my first post here, I'm Emily :]  I have two horses at the moment, Ace and Flower. Both are boarded at a small backyard barn  (only nine stals)  that I feed at four nights a week. Originally, it was only one night a week and it worked out well. The BO kept up with the stalls and cleaning the waters and paddocks. But one night a week turned into two then two turned in four. Now I'm the only one who does anything. They haven't cleaned the stalls since I started working four nights and they stopped cleaning the waters and paddocks. I don't mind doing it, but it gets very frustrating when my horses are left in for two days and haven't had their stalls cleaned. So because of this and our BO openly disliking Flower. (By openly I mean telling me how 'crazy' she is and how she doesn't trust her and how much of a pain in the ass she is. I wouldn't really care but she says it to me almost every time I'm there) We decided to move both of them. Flower will be going to a new barn and Ace will be leased to my mom's friend to be used as a trial horse for the next few months.

But I don't know how to give the BO our 30-day notice. I'm scared she'll totally freak out at us and it will create this negative atmosphere for the next month until we leave. Any suggestions? The last thing I want to do is create a scene and a big huge mess.
