Anyone in Washington County, MD?

Hi, my name is Ahna and I am a Lurker... haha ok

No really, I am a self-diagnosed lurker since:

A. I don't own a horse right now (hopefully going to change that soon)

B. Haven't ridden in 4 months

I moved to Hagerstown, MD about 2.5 years ago and started riding at lets call it "Barn A". I started riding in lessons with the trainer they had at the time and didn't really care for it but since I was riding I was happy....

Back Story: I've ridden H/J for 10 years or so and had to sell my last horse 6 yrs ago... got married and moved to MD going to college at Shepherd University will graduate next may!

ok. So I rode there off and on for 2 years because the BO was swapping trainers like you wouldn't believe AND she was really just a horse trader trying to disguise herself as a boarding/training operation. Yeah I finally quit riding there because I really didn't want my name associated with her operation since she was having me present the horses to clients and teach some lessons. She was/is shading when selling horses and I won't lie for her, I am proud of that, I never misrepresented a horse I told the buyers exactly what they were getting (or at least everything I could tell about the horse)

If fact she misrepresented a horse to a member here not too long ago and the member didn't find out till the BO's husband had already dropped him off.

So... on to the REAL questions.

I think I'm finally ready to afford a horse again. My husband gave me the green light so now the search begins.
First, I need to find a barn. I would prefer an H/J or eventing barn near Hagerstown, Maryland or Shepherdstown, WV. I've seen a couple but so far I'm unimpressed by either the facilities or the owners. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to find relatively in-expensive field board for now.
Second, does anyone know of any trainers in the same area?

Thanks so much guys in advance I hope someone out there might have some leads! I'm trying to get word of mouth recommendations of places around here because I know that Barn A looks great on their website but once you've been there it's not the operation they describe themselves as.
